What inspires my designs?

My love of the beach and the breathtaking, powerful, vastness of the ocean. I've been a "beach comber, shell seeker, treasure huntress, beach runner" since I was a young girl combing the beaches, with my Mom in the summertime in Carlsbad, California. All of my pieces are made with authentic, ocean tumbled,  sea glass, coming  from a many year addiction to finding these little polished gems in the sand along the California coastline.

My designs are all hand-forged, one of a kind pieces using primarily sterling silver.  Many of my designs also contain mixed metals such as copper, 14 karat gold fill and brass, which has become a fun, different way of accenting my pieces.

Just recently I've learned the art of torch fired enamel which will be incorporated into my sea glass pieces as well as my up-cycled hand blown glass jewelry to create a more Bohemian, beach vibe.

I'm very excited about adding this technique to my designs.

I also have an amazing collaboration with Barrio Glass Works in the Village of Carlsbad.

Barrio creates incredible hand-blown pieces, some of which are from Murrine glass originally developed by the Glass Blowers on Murano in Venice. I then use the remaining  bits and pieces of glass to create some really cool, ocean-inspired jewelry. These pieces of jewelry are on my website as well as on display here in the Barrio Glassworks gallery.

Being a silversmith has allowed me  to expand my creations to a whole new level of handcrafted designs.

All pieces are made by my hands, with much love.
