Introduction to Flameworking

Our 3 hour teaser is a great way to experience the fun and fascinating art form of shaping borosilicate glass.  Using a desktop oxy-propane torch, you will learn the basics of flamework and create small glass objects to take home.

The class will cover the basics of how to work with the flame, control the temperature of the glass, and shape it with your hands. By the end of the class, you should be able to make simple shapes or figurines, and have a good idea whether the artform of flamework is your calling. The main goal of the class is for you to have fun, experience the thrill of shaping hot, molten glass and learn about this amazing material. Great for date night too.

No prior experience with glass is necessary.
